The InterPride podcast series, InterPod, is proud to launch our 13th Special episode, Lesbian Visibility Week: Transgender Lesbian Love Story.

The LGBTQIA+ community has come a long way in the fight for acceptance. Our voices matter and will be heard. Many of our LGBTQIA+ community members have fought for decades for the right to be seen and heard.

Tiffany Woods is a wife, mother of three, trans woman, activist, and recognized LGBTQ+ leader. She is an Appointed California Democratic Party Delegate by Rep Barbara Lee, CD-13, (3 terms) and the 1st Trans Woman to be elected a California Democratic Party Caucus Chair as Co-Chair of the LGBTQ Caucus in 2019 re-elected in 2021. She is a 20201 appointed member of the CDP Credentials Standing Committee. She served as Secretary of the LGBT Caucus, 2017–2019. She was selected by Speaker Pro-Tem Toni Atkins as one of eight LGBTQ Californians selected as a CA LGBTQ Legislative Caucus Pride Honoree in 2020. An At-Large Hillary Clinton Delegate to the DNC in 2016, she is one of the first three trans delegates to ever attend the Democratic National Convention from California and a member of the historic first-ever DNC Transgender Caucus. 

In 2017, she became an Emerge CA 2017 and Equality California Leadership Institute Alumna. Tiffany has worked in HIV Prevention and Trans Health for 20+ years creating and implementing innovative, nationally and internationally recognized inclusive health care programs for transgender and gender nonbinary folx. She has trained medical providers and Police Academy recruits on trans identity and community relations and provided technical assistance to Centers for Disease Control (CDC) International in Central America for their National Trans Health Service Strategy in Guatemala and Panama. She currently works at the California Department of Public Health, Office of AIDS, as the first Transgender Health and Community Engagement Specialist and state Co-Chair for the California HIV Planning Group.
